I was raised on a Kansas farm, but now live in Washington D.C. with my wife Barrie and our two sons.
In 2011 my documentary film OPEN SECRET premiered at the Toronto Hot Docs Festival. In 2013 it had its US broadcast premiere on Al Jazeera America.
WAITING FOR HOCKNEY, a documentary I assistant directed, had its world premiere at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival and its broadcast premiere on the Sundance Channel.
In the 90s, I worked for many years as a producer at NPR. From 2011 to 2014, I was the executive producer of Weekend All Things Considered.
In between my time at NPR, I was the executive producer of The Bob Edwards Show on Sirius XM and Bob Edwards Weekend from PRI.
My first radio job was spinning (literally) the country hits at KOFO AM in Ottawa, KS.
And a long time ago I was a U.S. Marine.
